I write about things that affect me, things that move me to act, things that make me angry, and things that make me cry. My work is not scholarly or academic; I am not a trained writer, so I write as if I was having a conversation with my closest family and friends. I like to think my writing is honest, heartfelt, truthful, and personal.
I read a lot, and great writers influence, and encourage me. Whenever I read, I try to take at least one quote from each book to inspire me. As a result my writing will include some quotes from these beautiful minds.
Most days I am also a social entrepreneur, photographer, blogger, student, teacher, analyst, commentator – not necessarily in that order, but all at the same time.
Wife to one, mother to four and friend to many. Sometimes worry about dying and not having loved, danced, read and traveled enough. When time allows I enjoy searching for the perfect cup of coffee.
